A Lakehouse Revived
A rustic lakehouse gets a fresh new look.
Smith Mountain Lake's waterfront is dotted with rustic summer cabins that popped up in the 1960's and 1970's, after the lake was created. While this weekend cabin was pleasant for its time, after decades of use it needed a fresh new look to match the sunny vibrancy of Virginia's largest and most popular lake. The solution was a top to bottom, full house remodel, to transform the place from an outdated cabin, to a lovely and sophisticated lakefront home. The result: a modern and elegant lakehouse with refined, yet livable spaces for all year round.
